Chivalry Isn’t Dead…In Jesus Name! Devon Franklin Defends Wife Meagan Good From An Opinionated Fan

On the heels of the highly anticipated book release of their book, The Wait, Megan Good and her husband Rev. Devon Franklin have been on a promotional tour to promote their book while also giving testimonies, ministering the word of God, and answer questions asked by their fans. Yesterday, the couple spent their holiday at the One Church LA Live’s Valentine’s Day event. They discussed a number of things including their journey of celibacy. During the Q&A section, one fan had a mouthful to say. She started off saying that if the Holy Ghost isn’t present in your life, you won’t be able to withstand temptation. While I agreed with her initial statement, her speech quickly took a turn for the worse.

She then went on to say that she almost didn’t come to the service because of the risqué clothing that Megan Good is infamous for wearing. The fan finally closed her remarks with the question “So you’re going to covering up?” The crowd immediately reacted in shock and Devon Franklin didn’t waste anytime rushing to his wife’s defense.  He responded by saying “That is not what we’re here for! She’s not gonna cover up, she’s gone wear what she wants to wear…in the name of Jesus. God bless you, we love you. I love you dearly but she has been a Christian, as she is right now, when she wore whatever she wanted to wear, so no we ain’t doing that.”

And if that wasn’t enough, he went on to say this: “Y’all about to see another Devon y’all ain’t never seen! Remember, I’m from Oakland now.” Devon then laughed the situation off, told his wife he loved her, and gave her a kiss. Megan started to tear up as the crowd gave her a standing ovation and chanted her name. It was refreshing to watch people support her so openly. Personally, I think that fan was dead wrong, she had no right to judge Megan. What are your thoughts
