Gentlemen Jack & Omari Hardwick Celebrate African American Filmmakers with Real to Reel

Gentlemen’s Jack and Code Black Entertainment joined forces to highlight and support new African American voices in film with its Real to Reel contest. Filmmakers from across the world have the chance to compete for $10,000 and a VIP trip to Miami Beach to screen their work for industry insiders. Omari Hardrick of Starz hit show “Power” joined in at the Atlanta stop dropping some gems to aspiring filmmakers about finding their way into the industry. Omari Hardrick was proud to partner and participate as an actor who owns his own production company he was more than excited to offer up his expertise in this field. This private actors mixer was held at Negril Village where guests were able to enjoy small bites and drinks exclusively from Gentlemen’s Jack. 150-200 VIP guests joined Gentleman’s Jack and Omari Hardrick in Atlanta for the Real to Reel contest. My favorite was “Mia” from the screenings. “Mia’s” reel dealt with the illness of depression and suicide. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. It was such a common yet rarely spoken about topic. She did an excellent job telling her story.
